BoHensley302's review of Reservation Counter - www.reservationcounter.com

“Borderline Deceptive Advertising”

★☆☆☆☆

written by BoHensley302 on 15/05/2016

I thought I was reserving a room online via Wyndham. Their web site looked like the Wyndham site, especially in the confirmation e-mail (hotel same pictures, etc.). Expedia and Booking.com are much more transparent in identifying themselves as a 3rd party booking site.
I was a bit suspicious when they pre-billed me for the room, unlike Wyndham had previously done. When I checked in, the reservation had a misspelling in my name, but did exist. I thought that was odd, as my name was spelled correctly on the confirmation e-mail.
When I got my bill upon checkout, I realized that I was billed $30 more than what Wyndham charges for the night's stay. Totally my fault for not realizing it, but next time I will know better.
