The overall experience of the hotel was fine, but we had some problems which the hotel dealt with but not with much in the way of apology. On our first morning we did not have any hot water and the situation was the same in the evening. We rang reception and after about 2 hours an engineer came and fixed it enough for 1 shower. When there was no hot water the following day we asked to change rooms, which obviously involved packing and unpacking again; so for 2 evenings in a row we were seriously inconvenienced. We were in fact moved to a pokier room when we thought that an upgrade or some sort of compensation was more suitable. Then, the next evening was disrupted, because our card lock was not working and the people repairing it needed a witness in the room for security reasons.
Finally we were transferred to the airport as in the itinerary, to find that the flight was "delayed". Not unusual, but it later transpired that the holiday company and the airport were well aware of the delay, which had been sequential through the whole day, and had not told us of the situation. Being delayed is always frustrating, but to later find out that we could have been given a pretty accurate estimate rather than waiting in ignorance is doubly so.
