I recently booked a holiday with this awful company. At first, all seemed well (As with all of these people - after all, they are all sales people). Then came the random extras. They refused to reduce the amount for luggage even though we didnt want any, and even though they admitted that it is possible for them to do so. We got a total price, only to give over our payment details then be told that there was an £18 per person admin fee for them taking the trouble to talk to us. We told them our home address but that the card we were paying on was actually registered to a previous address as we had recently moved and not changed it yet. Therefore, we had to give both.. (as obviously you cannot verify a payment without corresponding addresses). When the email came, it came with the billing address for both. I emailed them to inform them this was incorrect and sent them an email with the correct address. When we chased it up, we were told they had not received the email and that since we had moved since we booked it, we now had to pay £30 per person extra for the trouble of re-printing it! We had NOT moved we told them from the start we were at that address! They then told me that they can only write down one address (about which we were not told) but anyway i made clear that if they re-listened to the booking phone call i believed they would clearly see that we informed them of the address we LIVED at. In fact, he did nothing but avoid having to re-listen to it and told me that we either had to go and try and track where the mail went from the old address or we cant get into the country without paying these extra fees! This company are a rip off and have proved themselves unprofessional. Do not use them if you are looking for a hassle free holiday where you won't be ripped off! They give a bad name to icelolly, who i will most certainly re-think using ever again if they choose to contract with companies like purple travel- icelolly i have always found to be good - until i went with purple travel! if you go with icelolly, i suggest you use another company instead! seriously - dont use them if you value the lack of stress for the one nice holiday you have earned all year!
