Me and two friends booked our holiday with one the beach.com in Feb 2013. Due to fly out on July 8th. On June 3rd they emailed us to say our accommodation had been overbooked and offered us an alternative hotel. We wasn't best pleased but thought at least we have an alternative. Turns out the alternative was not even matching up to we originally booked, we dan cope with more of a walking distance to night clubs but BED BUGS is a real no go!!! They couldn't even offer us any different 3* accommodation as we would have to pay the price difference even though this isn't our mistake!!
We remember being torn between two hotels at the time which were Ebano (what we booked) and Jabeque Hotel. The difference in price was Jabeque was £20 more expensive but we went with Ebano as it seemed nicer. After speaking to them about the Jabeque this was available but would cost us an extra £300 bearing in mind there was only a £20 price difference when we booked. Absolutely disgusting customer service by all staff we encountered!! The reply we got is its not out fault it's the suppliers. OK but you as a company dealt with us as customers and were quick enough to take our booking and money but now cannot come up with a good enough solution.
My advice would be to NOT book with on the beach as you risk your holiday bring messed up 5 months after booking it and 3 weeks before your departure. Bearing in mind we booked in advance to save money which now isn't going to happen as hotel prices have increased the later you leave it!
