Have just returned from two weeks in the algarve,portugal and what can i say - brilliant! My husband had read OTB reviews just before we came away and was as stressed as can be thinking nothing was going to be there etc. I did the booking myself, over the telephone (using the telephone directory number, not the premium rate 0905 number, which are barred from my phone anyway, and also the assistant called me back!))and have to say was far more helpful than the website as I was able to ask for things the web didn't offer (balcony etc.). Also, as I was on the phone, prices were changing for the flights but I was able to decide there and then whether to go ahead and book. Within 10mins of purchasing on the phone, all details came through on email. And I got a call back to check everything was correct! As the date of departure approached, husband was still nervous but after checking in online with ryanair for outbound and inbound flights we felt we were on our way. And that was it - flights from prestwick bang on time, transfers bang on time, acommodation just what we had booked (just as well with a Three year old!) and what a brilliant holiday we had. Return journey to prestwick was just as timely. I would recommend to book over the phone and use directory number (it's an 0161 number) as you can deal with any queries there and then. Would definately use OTB again as they were quite a bit cheaper then their nearest rival (travel republic).
