This was our first visit to Parga and we booked to stay at the Aristidis Gardens self catering. This was in an ideal location from our point of view, well outside the busy town center and a nice walk down to the nearest beach, little shops and good tavernas. However whilst the accommodation was clean, well designed and laid out, with a lovely pool, the attention to detail was very poor. In particular the following issues were disappointing: awful crockery, not clean on arrival and one unusable and cracked chipped mug; broken patio seat; electricity maintenance poor with outside light not working, one bedside light hanging off, loose sockets, fridge door not square so didn't close properly; bathroom tiles cracked and door surround unplastered with large gap; main door wouldn't lock from inside.
It was also very annoying that the people in charge at the flats (the owners?) allowed a series of children into the gardens and pool area to play. They appeared to be relatives but were subject to no control and allowed to run round screaming and shouting (as children should and will!). We, and many other guests, found this to be most irritating and it often cleared the pool area of the paying visitors!! Needless to say there was no rest possible, inside or out, during these periods. I have never stayed anywhere in Greece where the guests were treated so thoughtlessly by the hosts. Surely Olympic should expect facilities provided to be available to their customers, not taken over like some public area?
