Great family holiday at Makrinossis Village

We arrived at Larnaca airport and got quick and clear instructions from Olympic staff as to the transfer to the accommodation. After 35 mins bus journey we arrived at Makrinossis Village. Our bungalow was right beside the pool and bar area, with the childrens playground just behind us. We knew about the air conditioning before we arrived, but forgot to ask the receptionist! The apartment was sweltering and we had to run back to get the remote! A reminder would have been nice! The facilities in the room were clean and sufficient, although basic.
The breakfast was just alright, and could have been improved with a selection of fresh fruit.
We were all inclusive so could have drinks and snacks during the day, again these were fine. The evening meal was tasty enough.
We were travelling with a 7 and 5 yr old, who were not confident swimmers, so we were delighted with the adult pool, as it had a large shallow area. The pool attendant was fantastic and reminded the boys if they strayed too far towards the deep end! The friendly entertainment staff introduced themselves to us and the kids on our first day, and the boys loved the kids club!
My only concern was the large numbers of teenagers and their choice of music which they played quite loudly beside us! Thankfully the boys didn't pick up on any of the bad language!
We taxied to the square on 3 of the nights, 10 euros each way.
Overall we had a good holiday, but would look for slightly better accommodation the next time. Olympic staff were very good!
