We went to Corfu for a week. Outbound flights were delayed by 4 hours. Check in opened two hours late. There was no communication at all. The departures board said "Flight P7355 21:00, delayed to 20:00" just me or does that not make sense?! The flight was supposed to be 18:20. When I asked for a compensation form I was told I couldn't have one because the flight was always scheduled for 21:00. Which is a lie. We got to our hotel at 5am in the morning so the first day was a bit of a write off.
The flight back was delayed by 6hrs. We were supposed to be picked up from our hotel at 10pm, instead we were picked up at 2am. Check out was midday. Not the best. We were told more than 24hrs in advance so again we cannot complain apparently.
Now on to Small Planet Airlines. Olympic Holidays use this airline to charter their flights. The planes are old, rickety looking, dirty and very crampled. The staff don't care about customer service. The drinks service was bottles of large pop which get poured warm into plastic glasses. Flight back we got a soggy microwaved sandwich.
All in all the travel was awful. If you look up Small Planet Airlines you will see that their flights are constantly delayed. I will never book an Olympic Holiday again for this reason.
On to the hotel, the hotel was gorgeous, such a bargain. The staff lovely and the rooms lovely and the pool area amazing.
The only downside is the resident DJ - Theo, the owner, seems to think that we all want to hear music blasting from the bar until early hours of the morning and karaoke from really drunk people who can't sing - even if there is only one person left in the bar the music will remain until they leave. There are rooms across the road, if you want to stay at Theodoros Fiona I suggest you request the rooms slightly away from the bar.
