There is no way this a 4 * Hotel arriving after flight delays and 3 1/2 hours transfer time which now made the time 5.00 am, to find no reception staff and no lifts. We had a note left on the door telling us that we were in room 232. We found our room in pitch darkness and up 4 flight of marble stairs, as we are both pensioners this was unacceptable for us to carry our own suitcases without any lift available.
We unpacked and decided to try to get some sleep but the dog at the hotel and 2 dogs at the next apartment block decided to have a barking competition. We got up and tried to have a wash before breakfast, simple enough task, but the plug did not work so we had to have a wash with running water.
We had no hair dryer no tea and coffee facilities which was all in the brochure. The status for the room was issued as 3 keys which is not even 3 * let alone 4*.
Breakfast was served in a small dining room with no air conditioning no staff or any information on where to sit, we helped ourselves to a very limited breakfast towards the end of the meal someone did tell us we had to sign against our room no. to state that we had our breakfasts.
Dress code for dinner was a laugh we were sat outside with a canopy over us, no menu just a lady came to ask us what we wanted there was a choice of 2 starters and 2 main meals which were explained in Geek style English and a pudding was dumped in front of us no choice of any fruit or cheese board.
We had a leak in the bathroom from the hand basin but this was also reported but to no avail most of the staff didn't know what we were talking about. There is no way this is a Hotel for English speaking tourists.
