The Sporades are like the Three Bears. Skiathos is busy and lively, Alonnisos is so utterly peaceful,and Skopelos is just right. It is active though relaxed in the two towns, peaceful and stunningly beautiful everywhere else. This seems to make the Greek people even more relaxed and friendly which is a delight. The hotels I have seen have all been good, the beaches are about as tranquil as can be and the walking is just delightful. I love the whole island but my favourite place is Agnontas; don't tell anyone else. The smell of the pine woods is like incense and the honey is the best I have ever tasted. I am desparently trying to find Skopelos honey in the UK.
Can't wait to go back.
