Our holiday in north Goa was made even more enjoyable by the amenities, service and quality of the Doubletree Hilton in Arpora. We had seen the pictures on the web and have on occasion been misled by the brochures and had a degree of apprehension before we got there. this was made more so upon seeing some of the locations of hotels that other travellers were being dropped off at during our transfer from the airport. To our considerable relief the hotel is everything that the brochure describes and in particular it is made exceptional by the quality of the service offered by the majority of its staff. Nothing was too much trouble and frequently alternative options were being offered (e.g. meal options)that were not on the menu! The food options could be wider but the quality was never in doubt and the housekeeping was good although there were the occasionally lapses e.g.refills not being replenished in the bathrooms.
Otherwise a great place from which to explore the Calangute/Baga area made even easier by the hourly free shuttle to and from Baga beach.
