“CHEAP BUT AWFUL - DO NOT BOOK WITH OLA!”

Myself, partner, my two children and daughter's friend booked a family connecting room at the Diamond Hill Resort in Antalya, Turkey in August 2013, costing over £4,000. Our accommodation was to be 2 connecting rooms - one being for myself and partner, the other room for my son, daughter and her friend. On arriving in the early hours of the morning, to our disappointment, we were given one family room! My partner was furious, the hotel staff couldn't give us another room as they were all booked and my partner ended up sleeping in the lobby on a sofa as not appropriate for him to sleep in the same room as my children, 2 of them being teenaged girls! Rang Ola the next morning. The staff were totally unhelpful, saying there was nothing they could do, to write a complaint on our return and another member of staff was so rude and insulting, I had to put the phone down! We had to pay an extra £350 on top of the £4,000 we had already paid for us to have 2 separate rooms! Since writing a complaint, Ola have disputed this, even though it says we booked a "family connecting room" on our booking form and they could only apologise! They haven't even offered us a reimbursement when it is clearly their error! I will persist with this complaint and if it means going to solicitors, then so be it. This mishap on Ola's part totally ruined our holiday:- not only having to pay out extra money which reduced our funds for trips etc but the sheer upset and inconvenience it caused my family. Shame on you Ola - I hope people take this review and the other reviews on board before booking with you! They might be cheap but PLEASE use a reputable agent to book your holiday with NOT Ola holidays!

“Terrible customer service!”

Our holiday was good value but the customer service was terrible when we encountered issues with our booking when we arrived! Still not had a call back and we are home after 2 weeks holiday. NOT RECOMMENDED!

booked hotel got put in a different one & now ola holiday's tops the worst ever company to book a holiday with, write a complaint as they asked me, no got back in touch. I am now waiting for my company to send me working near their office so I can call in personally & voice my opinion, cause if they think by not replying I tell them its not.

“problems and telphone nightmare with Ola holidays”

ok so I made a late booking, the booking process was fine. However, I never received any emails. Then they changed the hotel etc., and place , they did allow £50 off which I thought was ok but later thought otherwise. I had to phone Thomsons to get confirmation of the flight. We never got email confirmation from Ola, until I spent ages on the phone to them, to get them to send the confirmation, thankfully it arrived in time The hotel transfer was very do it yourself, to find the correct coach and where it was at the airport- luckily I speak Spanish. Transfer took hours, and then had to get the hotel to contact the transfer company next day to get return confirmed. Arrived at hotel with 9 year old, only to be told that although the flight was booked for 6/8/2013, there was no room at the inn !!! it was high season and we were told we would probably have to sleep outside ( it was now the middle of the night). Once again the hotel rescued us by finding us a room at their sister hotel, and getting taxi to take us there. As I said we did book last minute but they should be more professional, and also take note of all the complaints. I would also like to criticise their ad on teletext as it gives a local number - only reason I phoned them as it was local, and I thought any problems would be easy to sort out - what a joke. I would never use this company again nor even look at teletext holidays.

“CHanged Bookings”

Booked for Santorini with OLA Holidays. They seemed cheap and cheerful the booking process was fine. Flights with Easyjet. They firstly cancelled our booking for no reason and they stated I had contacted them to do this. I had not. They couldn't offer me a reason or who had actually done this they reinstated the holiday and asked for £ 55 extra which I refused to pay. I said I would book rooms else where and claim my money back via VISA. All of a sudden they waived the charge. When we arrived in resort we had booked 3 self catering appartments for 6 people and only got 1 the other rooms were room only. I contacted them in resort via email and they simply contacted the hotel owner who said I was a bad man as we could all share a kitchen. Since then been trying to get some compensation out of them without luck. Sent off the small claims court letters today and have asked for a visa chargeback. Avoid this company rather poor staff.

I cannot believe this company get away with what it does. Disgusting customer service and non existant managers, fobbed off call after call. Avoid at all costs !!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Rubbish Company - AVOID”

We booked our in January to go to Kefallinia in Greece to stay at the 5* Utopia spa and resort. An hour before our flight my friend received an email not even a phone call from Ola asking her to call them. We were then informed that they had changed our hotel to a 3* on the other side of the island. We were rudely told that if we did not go holiday then we would receive no refund. The lady also told us to our dismay that we may even enjoy it once we got there. Having decided to go and try and enjoy ourselves we arrived at the hotel (having had to pay an extra 30 euro than originally needed to in the taxi) to be told that the reception had no idea who we were or why we were there, as Ola had not booked us in. The staff at the Ionian Sea hotel were wonderful and assured us that we would have somewhere to stay for the night. Ola eventually sent them our booking the next day. Having tried to contact Ola on holiday via email asking them to call us they would not and they refused to give us a mangers email address. To take the mick even further they ended every email with a smiley face... we were not smiling. Thanks Ola for ruining our holiday!! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! The staff could do with customer care training to say the least!

“Nightmare ”

Our flights where canceled due to French air traffic control strikes and Ola holiday only needed to provide a short letter to say they have not refunded any holiday money back to us so we could claim our money through our insurance company, as the insurance will happily pay out as long as Ola have not refunded the money back but after many phone calls and talking to the management they refused to issue any letter. We have now lost all our holiday money and my pregnant wife won't get her holiday before the baby is due. Thanks Ola holidays how long would it take to write or email a single sentence. I recommend using any other holiday company other than Ola they are only an ok company then when something goes wrong then they are a massive nightmare.

I booked my 25th Wedding Anniversary holiday with Ola Holidays at the fully inclusive Blue Sea Village resort in Stalis, Crete in May 2013. I later looked at the on-line reviews, I was worried to say the least. How wrong was I. Great communication in relation to the flight, transfer and accommodation booking. The holiday went without fault, flights were on time, transfers perfect and we had a great discounted and upgraded room holiday. Would definitely consider Ola holidays in the future.

“MY DAUGHTERS HOLIDAY WAS A NIGHTMARE FROM START TO FINISH”

I booked a holiday in Ibiza half board with transfers for my two daughters as an 18th Birthday present for the younger one it was their first time going abroad on their own and they were really looking forward to it.When they got to Ibiza and met with the person who was to take them to their hotel he informed them that the hotel they were to stay in was closed well as you can imagine they were terrified and rang me straight away.I was on my way to work and i couldn't believe it I rang Ola holidays continuesly for about a half hour and couldn't get through I contacted my partner who got through to them eventually.He was told that they would sort something out,but they didn't,I rang them again myself and told them I was worried sick about my daughters alone in a strange country with nowhere to stay and was told that the manageress would give them a call ,which she didn't ,.The man who met them at the airport then took them to another hotel and was told that was closing as well in two days so they couldn't stay there either,eventually he found a hotel that would take them in the centre of some town which my daughters said was terrible as the hotel I booked for them was right on the beach I didn't want them walking too far being on their own.I contacted Ola holidays again to very abrupt staff that were very rude and I was so angry I was told if my daughters didn't like their room go to reception and ask to be moved but I said it is not about the room the fact is they were left to fend for them selves with no help from Ola holidays.The staff member then stated sarcastically that if my daughters are old enough to go on a holiday on their own they should be old enough to complain at the desk if they didn't like ther room ,i told her again it was not about the room the act is it was mot yhe hotel i booked and paid good money for,but she wasnt interested ,couldn't believe how abrupt she was when she spoke to me with no apology at any time.When my daughters were waiting for the transfer back to the Airport on their last day of their holiday they were informed that as they were not suppose to be staying in that hotel their was no one booked to pick them up to transfer them to the Airport.They had to walk through the town to try and find a way to get to the Airport which they eventually managed and then they find out at the Airport that their return luggage was not paid for,my daughters had to argue with them to convince them that it had been paid for by their mum when I booked the holiday.I am totally disgusted and very angry at the way Ola holidays treated my daughters as their holiday was a nightmare from start to finish and Ola holidays couldn't care less about my daughters and the fact that I was stressed out of my mind with worry their holiday was spoiled and they are put off of ever going abroad on their own again.Ola holiday employees should do a course on Customer care as the have'nt a clue what it means their holiday company it a joke when the have your money they couldn't care less about you or your family....AVOID OLA HOLIDAYS AT ALL COSTS

My wife booked an holiday for Benidorm in october 2012 w/c 24/10/12.overall cost £920.00 stupidly she paid the entire bill.Within five minutes we realised i didnt break up from work until 27/10/12.Our mistake,i said to my wife,get back to them and tell them our mistake,me thinking at this point we were going to get whacked for an admin charge,so we phoned up and explained we were four days out with our booking,we didnt want to cancel,we wanted the same holiday,same hotel same transfers,everything the same just four days later.Well i didnt need to worry about the admin charge,ola holidays response was,youve booked it,you take it or leave it!remember this was all within about 10 minutes of our original booking.Because of work commitments i just couldnt get the dates we had booked.so we contacted our credit card company,useless(who said you have security with a cc? dont you believe it)Abta, toothless jokes.alas im 900 quid out of pocket.Beware these bargain basement cowboys,reputable TA might be more expensive but at least you have the security.i think.I would urge any one not to touch this bunch of pirates with a cattle prod.you will find it very expensive.

“Good service ”

I have to write on my experiences with Ola holidays. I have used them twice and my partner once. There have been no problems at all. The staff have been friendly and have always either returned my calls or dealt with my enquiry promptly. I have always contacted the hotel direct just to confirm the booking. There has never been a problem with Ola making this booking or failing to enter my requirements. With this type of holiday Ola do email your boarding passes and other tickets which you have to download and print yourself which despite being a bit of a pain causes no real concern.

Went on holidays with the company in oct 2011 to marbella, which was reccommed to me by the advisor. Hotel was fantastic and the holiday was fantastic. I never had any issues during the booking prossess all confirmation of my booking was sent within 72 hours as the advisor said and it was all correct. Im booking another holiday with the for Jan 13 and i cant wait.

“Be warned - Ola Holidays”

Never Never Never ue Ola holidays. Despite reading bd reviews on them I purchased a holiday and have had nothing but problems concerning booking documents. I have logged a formal complaint with them about the terrible standard of holiday we experienced and they have not even replied. I have sent 2 recorded letters and 3 emails warning that I will take legal action against them if they do not investigate. Have been ignored every time and still today. Please do not use them if you

Firstly they didn’t reply to my email. When I emailed again, they asked me ‘to put my complaint in writing’ - what is an email but writing?! After that, they claimed that they didn’t receive my letter so I had to send another one by recorded delivery. Then they didn’t want to take any responsibility as it was ‘the third party’ which provided my holiday and I didn’t complain in the resort although I stated clearly in my letter that I DID.

They are dragging their heels and even 4 months after my original complaint, nothing is happening. The whole ‘holiday’ was a nightmare but they don’t accept anything I say so I’ll have to find a local Trading Standard Office to help.
This company should simply be closed down as they take money for the service that’s not meeting any standards of the civilised world. There are a number of bad reviews about them on the net - wish I saw them before I booked my holiday.
