just got back today 15-01-2013 from North Cyprus and stayed at the Salamis Bay Conti.Must agree that it is not 5 star but is a great place to stay at.The all-inclusive deal was great.The food was fine and always hot.The variety was extensive and hear it is even greater in the summer.The only thing is there was no ice-cream.The rooms were clean and any complaints were dealt with straight away.The beer and alcohol drinks were not bad.Before booking my holiday I read alot of reviews and thought... just tried to book a sea view room at diplomat in sliema, Malta. Advertised £6 ppm which makes £252 total, told it would actually be £352 due to a "system error". This is not the first time that prices have not been as in brochure (read more)

“salamis conti hotel is not mercurys usual excellent...”

we have just returned from the salamis conti in north cyprus. please mercury review the dining experience or lack of it and the poor quality food. we always travel with your company and have always been more than satisfied but the food in this hotel is awful and usually cold. try eating cold pasta. this is not a 5 star to your usual standard, staff do not speak english and are totally disinterested. we are booking with you again for sri lanka 2013 and know we will not be complaining about... We used Mercury for our trip to Sri Lanka. First the good bits about using Mercury. They are flexible and able to provide any number of days holiday you require with a multiple number of different flight options. Price competitive. We also had an excellent Mercury representative in Sri lanka The not so good bits Sri Lanka was introducing a visa system and the level of information we received from Sri Lanka was poor. “Excellent Tour Operator!”

I travelled with Mercury Direct to Malta last week and stayed in the Plaza Hotel in Sliema. I was thoroughly impressed with the company from start to finish. We were met on arrival by really friendly reps who showed us to our private taxis and took us to the hotel. Even though the hotel was 3* it felt more like 4*.
