We booked 2 Superior Doubles the Wessex Hotel in Street back in May 2014 in plenty of time for the Glastonbury Abbey Festival in August - all went fine & we received our confirmation from Late Rooms - job done we thought.....
until we receive a telephone call mid July from the Hotel explaining due to human error they'd double booked our rooms & could we log on to Late Rooms and cancel.
I contacted Late Rooms Customer Services who we very nice & understanding saying the would insist the the Hotel find us alternative accommodation & should reimburse us for any transport costs incurred by us being housed further away from our event than the Wessex Hotel - all seemed good.
Obviously due to the size of the event and being close to the date of the event no suitable hotels cold be found with both the Wessex Hotel & Late Rooms shrugging their shoulders.
A our plan for a decent night in Superior Doubles, Breakfast included turns in to four of us now having to camp out for the night - nice one!

I am sorry to hear about the disruption to your plans caused by the hotel overbooking and I apologise for the fact that the popularity of the event meant that suitable alternate accommodation could not be found.

While I am pleased that you will still be attending the festival, the conditions are not what you had in mind when planning this all those months ago.
