My room was clean, spacious and well-decorated, with plenty of hanging space, drawers etc. Tea/coffee making facilities in room, plus an iron and board, which was great for taking the suitcase-creases out of the outfit I was wearing to a special occasion the next day.
Dined in the pub on the evening of arrival, standard bar meal fare but quick, tasty and reasonably priced. Adnam's beer an added bonus. Breakfast next morning was just as good. Lovely attentive staff, plus friendly customers in pub.
Location is 15 minutes walk up hill from station, and 10 minutes, more gradually downhill, to the Cathedral. Was glad I'd taken flat shoes, but the walk is very pleasant.
Excellent value for money and an enjoyable stay. AS the room was so reasonably priced, and you can get very good off peak rail deals from London, I'm very tempted to come again and really explore the fine city of Norwich.
