Booking for the Radisson, Durham.
I booked three rooms in this hotel for five people. Seemed OK, but between booking the first two rooms and a third the prices changed quite substantially; I gave credit card details for all the rooms but LateRooms.com took money for only thre last room, the others I have to pay for on the day (not what I wanted); the booking form had no space for children so I had to book everyone in as adults...
Then a few days before we are due to go we get polite reminder notices by email in which two of our party have disappeared from the booking. Cue frantic phonecall and more wasted time to discover that the original booking is still in place and the reminders were in error.
So all in all full of mistakes and confusion and not at all relaxing and well organsied preparation for the weekend. It's borderline whether I could recommend Late Rooms to anyone else.
I only hope the weekend itself goes a bit more smoothly.
