Lastminute www.lastminute.com Review

WE were due to go to Manchester for a course and booked our hotel through lastminute.com over the phone, the initial quote was 312 for 3 nights, whilst making the booking i confirmed breakfast was included but was told that the adviser will check and was placed on hold. The adviser kept me on hold for about 5 mins and then came back and said no its not included and to have it added for the us it would be 70 pounds bringing the total to 382 which i paid. However, at the hotel which was holiday inn express Manchester east i was told that breakfast is complimentary and is included for all guests in the room rates. The hotel manager also sent me an email confirming this which i forwarded to lastminute.com with a complaint asking for a refund as they over charged me, i was told that they have spoken to the hotel and was told breakfast is chargeable, i again sent email and managers details saying its impossible they spoke to manager as my email clearly shows otherwise, they sent me email saying they will not refund me and that indirectly i am faking the managers email and hat as far as they are concerned the case is closed@! i again sent email saying you have charged me for something that is already INCLUDED IN THE PRICE AND i wants the case escalated, they again replied saying case is closed i am not due a refund and that they called hotel and the manager said they are right!
