Book a room in Yosemite National Park in peak season. When arrive there the recepcionist told me that my booking was cancelled just a few days after I've made it! Thankfully they still had available rooms so could stay as planned although I had to pay a higher price for the room. I sent a complaint to lastminute.com and, aside from the fact that it took them a while to investigate the incident, they admit that it was their mistake and agree to refund me the money that I paid for the room at the park (the higher price.
It obviously does not take away the stress of arriving to a place thinking that everything is sorted and find that it is not but I am happy with the way they handle the situation and the end result.
