I first met Lam Duong ( sales and operational manager)on a trip to Vietnam in 2009 on a casual basis. When I was told he had formed a company ( Indochina Pioneer) I knew I had to return and do the things I had not done on the last trip.So in 2011 with a group of Volunteers - we had been working with Habitat for Humanity - I organised a trip with Lam and traveled the length of the country. We started with the Mekong river, spent several days in Hoi An - a wonderful town with a magic feel. We flew to Hanoi - took overnight train the Sapa. We experienced a homestay with a local family, trekked the hills and meet the local hilltribe people. Overnight at Halong bay was a great way to finish out trip. I always recommend Indochina Pioneer to friends. Value for money with a very experienced and thoughtful company.
