When booking with hotels direct you can rest assured that your hotel will be of a good standard and all correspondence is sent to you immediately with a back up reminder about the booking nearer the time of travel. Would not hesitate to recommend booking through hotels direct. My most recent trip was a hotel and theatre break. The booking could not have been simpler and within the hour of payment it received a phone call to confirm that I had received an email with all reference numbers needed. At first we couldn't find the hotel, its inbetween Subway and Waterspoons, we enjoyed our stay there, the staff were really very nice and kind, rooms were very clean,and breakfast was enjoyable, no problem with our disabled parking at the hotel we did ring beforhand and it was sorted. In the week before the stay, Hotel Direct followed up with the Hotel and sent me an E Mail 48 hours before travel to confirm they'd contacted the Hotel and confirmed who they had spoken to and that there were no problems with the booking. We used Hotel Direct for the first time for a weekend in London for my wife's birthday. We found the on line service very easy to use and managed to find a suitable hotel without too much problem. We got a very good hotel room rate which when we arrived at the Holiday Inn Kings Cross was upgraded to an executive room. Hotel was excellent, very central, near the underground, near plenty of restaurants. It was comfortable, staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was excellent. We booked our accomodation through Hotel Direct only a couple of days in advance and went for the Secret Hotel option which proved to be an unparalled success. Our four star hotel was situated directly opposite Marble Arch. It could not have been better and it allowed us plenty of time to take a walk in Hyde Park before catching the coach back to Oxford from Hyde Park Corner. I liked the confirmation email a couple of days before we arrived to say the hotel were expecting us.We had great seats in the theatre and the show was great. We arrived a little early but the concierge held our bags with no trouble at all. The hotel is right oppressive marble arch in a good location near Oxford Street. Staff were very friendly from the doorman onwards and nothing was too much trouble. Maps, directions, recommendations, all given with ease. This is our third stay in three years. I've taken my daughter here as a Birthday treat since she was 8 and is now 10. We booked at the last minute and the hotel we chose was available on the website but we had a call the next morning to say there was no availability. The operator was helpful and courteous and we secured a good hotel in London at a competitive price. We were promised an executive room but given a standard instead upon checking in.
