From the time we arrived at the hotel we were greeted and made to feel very welcome, the staff were so polite and nothing was to much trouble. The rooms were lovely well laid out and very clean. Such a wonderful location covent garden-theaters-the embankment-every thing within easy walking distance. Breakfast offered a wide choice to suit all guests. I needed a hotel for a special occasion but it was very last minute, I mean on the day!! Hotel Direct I had never come across and found it on a simple google search engine. Brilliant hotel and price by usiny what they call "hidden gems", e.g. hotel you only know the name to once you have booked. It turned out that we had booked the Cumberland Hotel on Oxford Street which met all our expectations and was as described on the site. All in all very simple booking process and excellent price. This is such a good company to deal with, easy to book, just pick your show, choose your hotel from the list and they do the rest. Then a couple of days before your date of choice they send an email letting you know that the hotel,is expecting you, which for me is brilliant as I always worry when I haven't actually spoken to someone directly...two trips so far, all gone without a hitch, will definitely use them again and would recommend without hesitation, a very nice company to deal with. It was my first time using Hotels Direct and based on the hotel they recommended I am very pleased. All done very efficiently, only thing I didn't like was, I used my husband's credit card to book and they advised to put the booking in his name (which I didn't want) but, took their advice and this caused a little confusion at check-in, hotel also recommended not to do this in future. Will have no hesitation in recommending Hotels Direct and will certainly use them myself again. (read more)

Excellent service all round, made our visit to London very enjoyable. Choice of hotel was excellent. The only confusing part was trying to find the booking office at the Lyceum to collect tickets due to the amount of people queing. It might be an idea to have tickets posted to purchasers to eliminate this problem. Overall we have no complaints about the service from Hotel Direct and would certainly use this service again. We opted for a Little Gem and it really was! The booking process was straightforward and the ability to cancel within three days with a full refund was a real bonus. We were upgraded to a superior room at the hotel and the views across the river were glorious.
