We booked two rooms for four adults at the London Park Plaza Westminster Bridge through hoteltravel
On arrival at reception we were told that the agent listed on our voucher had not paid any of their recent bills and that all of their reservations had been cancelled.
The agent that was facing bankruptcy was Smilo Destination Management but the voucher was issued by hoteltravel and had their name on it.
After several hours searching we found another hotel with vacancies.
On our return home there was an email from www.hoteltravel.com which had been sent at 14:27 on the day of check-in saying that "due to a serious bankruptcy situation" our booking was cancelled.
They had our full contact details including mobile phone number but chose to send us an email when we were already trying to check-in.
If the price looks too good to be true there's a reason !
