Never use @Hop2_Travel. They won't be able to provide you with the booking reference numbers for you to do the check-in online and choose seats. Customer support is useless. You will have through endless chats to get no help.

“WORST TRAVEL AGENCY EVER - DO NOT USE”

I booked my ticket with this company back in Feb 22. They changed my travel departing date. I only realized it the day I was supposed to fly, their email had still my original flying dates on, not the updated ones Since June 22, I've been in touch with this company countless times whether by phone or email and this still has not being resolved in 4 months. I am still getting played by this so called travel agency. Since then, they reached out to me but they are still not giving me what I want and am entiltled to receive. I need to either be refunded for the full amount of the flight or a full credit value for what I paid. They only propose now one way instead of the return tickets that I paid for... I had to purchase an extra ticket to fly to my destination and pay $2500 for a last minute flight. I've been screwed by this company. DO NOT USE FOR ANY REASON, you will regret it I swear. This is the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I EVER GOT FROM A TRAVEL AGENCY since I've been travelling in 20 years now. Please Hop2 Travel if you read this come back to me and pay me back what you owe me as I never got what I paid for... It's now being nearly 4 months...#hop2travel H81B43A

“Literally breaking the law”

Be careful with these guys, tried to save a few bucks but ended up having to spend hundreds extra. I even was left stranded in a foriegn country because they sold me a ticket on a connecting flight that didn't exist. I didnt find out until I was at the gate and an airline representative told me they had discontinued flights to my destination almost a year ago. Of course Hop2 takes no responsibility. Not reputable at all.

I have purchased a travel ticket from Hop 2 on the 2nd July 2021, On the 7th Porter Airline emailed me and called me stating that they are not in operation until the 8th Sept and I should contact my travel agency ASAP, I contacted Hop 2 customer service immediately via email and phone and was told that someone will contact me within 24 HRS, I called every for 7 days and I was provided with the same answer someone will get back to you within the next 24 HRS or will transfer you to change and cancellation department and I spend hours after which the line drop, and the last advise received today was call us couple of days before your flight as we are assisting other customers and unless your flight is within the next 24 HRS we cannot help you, as your case is not important, I called JetBlue to check if the second part of the ticket if its confirmed and was told this is an invalid confirmation number and I should contact the travel agency issued me the ticket and they cannot help me. I have all documentation to prove what I am saying.

I would not recommend Hop2 to my worst enemy you will loose every penny when BBB gives them an F rating you must know why, I lost over $3,000 and eventually booked through a reputable site where full refunds and changes can be made as well as not getting calls after I booked trying to make other changes that they were not asked to. Stay away from Hop2 there is a reason why their ratings are so low there are many many other better travel agencies that stand by their products and services Hop2 does not.

“Bad experience”

Buying tickets from them is like gambling in my experience and my humble opinion. I will take responsibility for not scouring the website to find and read all the terms and conditions, but I was under the assumption that it was like every other online booking site I have used in my 10 years of travelling around the world. The airline cancelled our flight. We did NOT want to cancel. Hop2 never informed us even though they knew weeks in advance. The airline said it was their responsibility to inform us. The airline informed hop2. Then they said our ticket is not refundable. In order to seem like nice guys they said they will offer us a partial discount minus $100 processing fee per person (we are 3 people). SO basically if you buy flights from them, they can be cancelled, especially in this time of the pandemic, without your knowledge or consent and you will lose the money you paid or maybe get a partial refund. We had to scramble to buy tickets the day of our trip and ended up spending $1000 more. Just book directly through the airline (I actually applied for a refund which they granted, but since hop2 paid for the tickets, they got the refund, not us). I had also booked through Expedia months before for this same trip and the flight was cancelled for coronavirus, but in contrast Expedia gave us a prompt refund with no fees charged. This is the difference between a good travel agency and Hop2. The tickets from Hop2 weren't even that much cheaper, I just chose them because they were a little cheaper and I thought they were a reputable company. I have wasted many hours with this issue, including my vacation and work time on my trip.

If there is a 0-star option I can choose I will give them 0-star.they are a cheater. I booked a JAL flight from Dallas to Beijing through agent Hop2.com. But JAL canceled that flight for an unknown reason. It's not my fault. I requested a refund from JAL through the agent. Hop2 replied that the flight fund can be returned 100% but I need to pay a $200 processing fee to Hop2. Without agreeing on the processing fee, Hop2 doesn't proceed with the JAL refund process. It's unacceptable.

“Don’t book through them!”

We had flights booked through them, which were then canceled by the airlines due to covid 19. We would have received a full refund from the airline but Hop2 charged us a fee of $100 per ticket ($400 total) to process the refund!!!! Do yourself a favor and don’t book through this company!

“Remains to be seen”

I was on Skiplagged and was taken to Hop2 to book a flight from Boston to Lisbon. They came in $150 cheaper than any other site so I booked with them. My reservation didn't go through initially and I got a phone call. They said they were going to check the pricing and get back to me. I got an email with an itinerary and price that looked good. They called me again and I confirmed the purchase. I also bought the travel insurance cause I was already skeptical about how legit this company is. I got my confirmation email, and then read these reviews! They made me nervous so I went to the websites of the airlines I am booked on to make sure that first, I had a spot on the flights, and second, my info is correct. I clicked on the "manage my trip" button, entered by record locator and last name. I was nervous waiting for the website to respond. I fully expected a "no reservation in that name" or similar response. Thankfully, I had legit reservations with the airlines. I entered my contact info, passport, and TSA numbers so the airlines can contact me directly if there are delays etc. Fingers crossed that everything goes without a hitch. If not, I will be updating my review! I tyoically book my own tickets directly with an airline or a website that I trust (Orbitz, Expedia etc.). When using a new service, especially a small time operation, it pays to do the back up work to avert any potential disasters and surprises!

“I booked two tickets to Japan. The last name of one...”

I booked two tickets to Japan. The last name of one passenger was submitted correctly but somehow was not correct of the itinerary. I called Hop 2, Butch stated he would contact the airline. I was told the airline would not allow the name change and would have to purchase a new ticket. The tickets were $1800 a piece. I contacted the airline and was told that hop 2 had not contacted them. I facilitated a three way call in which Butch hung up when confronted by the airline. I continued to work with hop 2 and they strung me along stating they were waiting on the airline. I was told the airline agreed to the name change. I arrive to the airport and United would not allow the passenger on the plane. They spent three hours on the phone with both hop 2 and ANA. Hop 2 would not call ANA and gave United the run around as well. At this point me ticket was “flagged” and I had to rebook. The four agents working with me from United were furious with Hop 2 and told me this should have been an easy fix and that I should contact the BBB. ANA stated that Hop 2 could have easily facilitated the fix and had not been in contact with them. I am out $1800 and my son was not allowed to take the trip to see his brother. The day after I arrived to Japan they emailed me stating the carrier would allow me to purchase a new ticket and they would credit the other ticket. I responded to the email and never heard from them again. I can’t make calls from Japan and no longer trust this company. I would not recommend this company, saving a little money is not worth losing a lot of money. This is the worst experience I have ever had with customer service.

“DO NOT BOOK WITH HOP2”

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS COMPANY. I arrived at the airport the day of my flight and almost was not able to get on my flight because Hop2 hadn't properly entered all of my information. My flights were changed drastically on the way home and Hop2 was completely unwilling to work with me. They were extremely rude on the phone and told me to send my request via email, to which I received a generic, unpersonalized response. Additionally, I sent multiple other emails with questions to which I received zero response. If your trip is at all important to you, use a different booking agency. I have never been so disgusted by an experience with a company as I have with this one.

“Sold me economy seats with business class fare”

DO NOT BOOK WITH HOP2! Looking at all the terrible reviews that I've read online, I'm here to add another. 0 Stars. I booked business class, the confirmed itinerary/receipt on their website says business class, but when I went to check in the day before on the airline app, I was in economy and it was too late to choose good seats for my 12.5 hr flight. I couldn’t believe it. They said they would refund the difference between economy/business ticket but not a full refund because ticket is nonrefundable. I could've easily booked a business award flight back.  Selling flights and seats that are NOT confirmed. I filed a chargeback with my credit card company because this is totally unacceptable. Customer service only gave the option for me to fly economy the entire way even though I never even booked economy. Their refund is basically me paying for an overpriced economy round trip fare on star alliance. I am one world emerald, why would I waste my time flying another alliance on economy? The customer support supervisor forced me to take their partial refund offer because I honestly have no other choice because my flight was leaving within 24 hours. Full refunds are not guaranteed apparently even though it is entirely hop2's fault/intention to book me into economy with a business class fare.

“AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!”

***DO NOT USE HOP2 EVER!!*** My husband and I travel quite a bit and this is the WORST experience I have ever had with anyone in this industry, or any company period. They mixed up my middle name and last name and ACCUSED me of making this mistake (my husband's name was fine and my middle name is a last name so it was clearly a mistake in their process/communication to the airline). They had the audacity to charge us $260 for a new ticket!!! They backed us into a corner so we had to pay $260 for a new ticket or double that to cancel both our tickets and then rebook directly with the airline. $260 for THEIR MISTAKE!!! Their customer service was even worse than having to pay the additional $260. I waited on hold for 30 mins and then an hour and 15 minutes and NO ONE ANSWERED. I was promised someone would call me for 3 days and he never called or answered an email. Danika LAUGHED at me on the phone and was overall extremely rude. At this point I would rather pay double to book through another site than ever work with them again. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

I’m going to travel with my 80 years old mom who is sick. I searched and found unbeatable price at Hop2 travel. However, when I got the confirmation email, I found a problem of my reservation. So I called to Hop2 travel for help, they responded me quickly and solved the problem right away. They really listened and treated me and my mom like a family. The customer service is the world’s best. Special thank to the two people I dealt with God bless Hop2 travel.

I was nervous about having booked a flight through this company because of the negative reviews but I had NO problems at all with my flight. I booked it, received a notification and called them to confirm that I was the one who made the reservation and that I didn't need to go thru the credit card confirmation process that they have. The tickets that I booked were legitimate, I had no problems boarding my flights, choosing my seats, and making it to and from my destination. I had NO issue with any credit card fraud, everything went smooth. I would ABSOLUTELY use this service again because the price was phenomenal for a RT flight from Boston to Barcelona Spain!!!

“NO PROBLEM AT ALL”

After reading all the bad reviews I was a little bit worry about the two flights I GOT for my friends from LAX to Madrid around trip this pass Christmas/New years. I didn't know what was going to happen but they sent me the confirmation of both flights (round trip) and I did received a call from HOP2 agent to confirm that I had enough funds for the tickets, which i did. After they sent me the confirmation I saw my they make two payments of $452 each which what it costed me each flight round trip; I called my bank just to make sure everything was ok, and yeah everything was good. I called the airlines my friends were going to flight with just to confirm their flights and again everything was normal/ok, in this case I called British airlines (LAX to Madrid) and Ibera and American Airlines (Madrid to LAX). The days to checking online came (LAX TO MADRID) and I did checking both of friends sent their BOARDING PASSES and guess what? The day after they were in Madrid with me no problem at all. My friends had no complaints. On the other hand, this is why I am giving them 4 stars, the day to checking online their way back (madrid to LAX) came and guess what? Iberia didn't let us do it for a reason, every time we tried a box showed up on the screen saying that we needed to check in at the airport. THAT MADE US NERVOUS!! Well we called Iberia again to make sure about their reservations and they say everything was ok. Well the day of their flight we when to airport early, wait in line and yes, they helped us and gave both of my friends their boarding passes and checked in their bags as well. They were flight from Madrid to JFK and JFK to LA, although the person who helped us in the phone the previous night say they were gonna get both of their boarding passes they only were able to get MADRID TO JFK only because AA weren't allowing them to print them their passes. Well my friends took that plane and when they were flighting I went and tried to check them in AA from JFK TO LA and I was able to do it so i did I download their boarding passes and send it to their emails. Once they got to JFK they were straight to the gate to wait for their flight. Once again, they made it safe and on time to their destination LAX. To sum up, Thank you Hop2, WE HAD NO PROBLEMS BUYING FLIGHTS WITH THEM.

“HORRIBLE OPERATION!!!”

These folks booked unconfirmed tickets, but they never informed us. I accidentally checked American airlines website and found that our flights have been changed. When I called them they said no worries and they would route us through other ways without affecting much of our itinerary. Then they email us a completely different itinerary which upsets our entire travel itinerary. Their operation is a bogus one. Do yourself a favor.. don't book with them ever and tell your friends not to book with them.
