Purchasing a ticket to India for a friend in Spain was no problem but when I wanted to cancel the booking because my friend had not obtained her visa in time.
I was told there would be no refund. I was then asked to confirm the cancellation saying if I did not do so 'a black mark would be put against my name by the airline' I asked for a refund of the airport tax and was promised £150 in an e-mail but it would take up to 8 weeks. It is now 6 months and inspite of 8 letters and e-mails I have not had any reply. I have threatened to report them to ABTA/AITO/ATOL but they do not seem to be frightened by this.
