Holidaymate booked me to go to North Cyprus. I had never considered this destination before but the lady on the phone settled my nerves with her in-depth knowledge of the area and even must visit restaurants and sites to visit. Northern Cyprus, especially Kyrenia was as she described exceptionally beautiful. I am a friend of Laura the author of the review below. On her recommendation I spoke to holiday mate. I think they had a number of free accommodations but they also had a couple of 2 for 1 deals on larger 5* all inclusive. Speaking to Holidaymate they really seem to know their stuff. I have just returned from a Holiday in Antalya. We booked through Holidaymate and are very please with the serves they provided. The only downside was the weather (Not holdaymates fault). My husband and myself have just returned from Northern Cyprus. We can honestly report that this was the best holiday we have ever been on. Northern Cyprus has a pleasant winter temperature and away from the bucket and spade brigade. Kyrenia (I think thats how you say it) has the most amazing restaurants. I am very happy with the service I have received from Holiday Mate this evening. the lady I spoke to had a lot to say about the hotel I was booking. Initially I did not realise that transfers and Bags were not included in the price but the over all price was still cheaper than anyone else I could find selling the same hotel for the dates and duration I wanted. We booked with Holidaymate to go to Oludeniz n October. Were were concerned that the weather was not going to be great but for a cheap late minute holiday we were prepared to risk it. I traveled on my own to Fethiye this year and found Holidaymate to be just the ticket. The girl on the phone asked what sort of things i would enjoy on holiday and found exactly what I was looking for which was a small and friendly tucked away from the masses where I could get on with some long over due reading. I guess this is a sign of the times where we look for the cheapest holiday, find it, book it and then worry why was it so cheap. I can have just returned from the Fortuna beach in Icmeler and have to say that I have to go back. And that is saying something as a rarely holiday at the same place twice. I have to agree that Holiday Mate are not a company that I would use again or recommend.
I had issues with our transfer and (name removed) (manager) agreed these were unacceptable.
I was told to email Falcon Tourism as they are in charge of the transfers. i did this but the only response was them disputing my facts point by point. I had proof (and so did they, if they had bothered to check time of arrival at hotel). I was as much called a liar, though there were a dozen of us claiming wrongdoing. I never received any more replies from Falcon Tourism.
I further contacted (name removed) and he still disputes it is out of his hands although it was to Holiday Mate my money was paid.
Disgusting service. Deplorable after sales.
