A friend recommended gocruise to me having been on holiday with them himself. I rang the number on the website and was put through to a polite young woman who dealt with my requests efficiently and courteously. She advised me and my wife on which cruise would be suitable for us and I feel she chose well. I was impressed with the size of the ship. Having travelled with Fred. Olsen (on the Boudicca) before I was expecting a small ship, however the Balmoral was noticeably larger. I was pleased... (read more)

We booked last minute through gocruise.co.uk which meant we paid a fraction of what we did last time. Having been on Fred. Olsen cruises before we knew exactly what to expect. Having smaller ships means the feel is completely different than that of other cruise liners. The staff were lovely as ever and the ship was kept very clean. I did feel this voyage was more crowded than ones we’d been on previously but the people were nice and it didn’t really turn out to be a bad thing at all.... (read more)

“West Africa aboard the braemar”

This was our second cruise with gocruise and it didn’t disappoint! Weather was fine, the staff were good and the ship even better! Our cabin was quite small but was clean and nicely furnished. The cabin stewardess was incredibly polite and attentive. She made sure we were cared for from the very start. The daytime activities were varied and the entertainment was good, I especially enjoyed the pianist on the second night. I’d recommend gocruise/fred olsen to anyone looking for a good... (read more)

We booked our cruise via Gocruise.co.uk and I can have no complaints with them. We were unsure which cruise to go on but after a discussion with one of the gocruise agents we decided on the Boudicca. Although quite an old ship, the boudicca still has its charm. There was a slight delay before embarkation but the staff apologised and we were soon on our way. “Second cruise...very happy”

This was our second cruise on the balmoral and was just as enjoyable as our first. We were alocated a nice, clean, spatious cabin near the front of the ship and were looked after by a friendly hostess. We chose to eat at 6:30pm which I found quite early for our main meal…the food was plain but very nice and there was a good selection of wines on offer. I would like to have had more choice when choosing dinner time as 6.30 was too early but (the other option) 8pm too late. However, the... (read more)

Cruise line: Fred. Olsen Destination: Baltic Ship: Balmoral Good points: Destination ports were fantastic Bad points: Had to wait for a little while to disembark Great cruise with great staff and great people.
