Feeling that I was taken advantage

I phoned global hoppers yesterday to book a holiday for me and my son for a week in Tenerife ,my son had phoned earlier and told me to speak to this person so I did what is upsetting is I have never had to do.this myself before so he went through everything and charged me £658 and had to pay £300 deposit this was supposed to be the cheapest with direct flights , my son came home and asked how I got on he told me should have been £449 so they charged me 200 more . A friend phoned to enquirer about an hour after I had done mine and was quoted £449 too . He even phoned the number I had been given to see why and was asked if it was about me even without giving my booking ref number feels like I was taken advantage ,will be writing to the papers and watchdog it's wrong to treat people this way , do not trust them ,have people with you when you book as a witness , tried to hone this morning was told if I cancelled it would lose my 300 deposit all I want is to be treated fairly 200 extra for the same flights hotel and transfers is just robbery . Hope if you're reading this they don't rip you off not letting this go will be following it up with various organisations
