“Lost my payment when refund due”

I cancelled my bookings (cancellable booking) and am amazed that their T&Cs state that refunds take 21 working days (that's over 4 weeks!). When I called their customer services - which is in Turkey (a London number), they stated that they'd not received my payment - I could clearly see it was on my credit card bill. She said I had to email - poor customer service - she hardly spoke English and I just wanted it sorted whilst I was on the phone. I asked to speak to a manager but she refused… Read Full Review

“Very dissapointed, having to pay twice..”

Booked and payed a hotel in Cuba, "SuperClubs Breezes Varadero", through Galahotels. Entering the hotel, there is no reservation nor payment made, thus having to pay again for the hotel. Tried their UK number explaining the situation, they say they would fix it and revert back. Nothing happened, so called again to. Still no answer back and still paying double for the hotel. :-/ Recommendation: Do NOT book through Galahotels!! Issue still not resolved… Read Full Review

We had Hilton Amsterdam reservation through GalaHotels. Com upon arrival to the hotel we were told that our reservation does not exist. My Credit card was charged during reservation process. We had to pay full hotel price at the time of check in and wait a day for the room to be available. Do Not Do any reservations with Gala Hotels… Read Full Review

“Never book hotel room”

The communication channel with galahotels is horrible: by mail the answer is delayed and by phone it's impossible.

They asked me to send a photo of my credit card, which is illegal in my country. I paid by debit card, the transaction was ok and no company has ever asked my to send a photo of my credit card. Because if refused to do an illegal action, the told me the reservation (already paid) wasn't done.

Finally I sent the photo and I get my reservation, but I never ever will use this

I booked a hotel with GALA HOTELS on Friday. On Monday morning (today), at the time of our stay I had received an email with the cancellation notice. 'I am sorry to inform you that we could not confirm your reservation at Executive Hotel due a technical problem. We tried to reach you by phone and mail but we could not. “So far so good...”

Yesterday I made a reservation at the Melia Cohiba in Havana for the end of February through Galahotels. Everything went smooth and I got vouchers right away. Today I wrote an e-mail to the hotel and they confirmed they got my reservation all right. My credit card has not been charged yet, and this is also OK. Until now I have nothing to complain about.
