P&O Adonia to Lisbon, Seville & Bordeaux

Just back from two lovely weeks on this old favourite, formerly Swan Hellenic Minerva. Ship full but always seemed uncrowded and loungers and seating comfortable. Crew always helpful and smiling. Mostly retired Passengers English, Welsh and Scottish many of whom regularly cruise with P&O. Food perfectly adequate, and appreciated in charming dining room with soft furnishings which keeps noise down, and windows which make it a very pleasant place. Two specialty venues to eat at modest extra expense, and comprehensive buffet with outside eating possibilities.

Full programme of entertainment and activities. Splendid concert pianist. Flamenco dancers in Seville came aboard for our enjoyment. At Villagracia de Arousa in NW France, an unexpectedly charming place, bands were preparing for fiesta and a children's dance group gave an unplanned but much appreciated performance on the quayside as we left. Passengers who like to sing - choir or karaoke, or play read had opportunities, as well as line dancing class. Very popular quizzes and deck quoits and shuffleboard and extraordinarily good prizes if you collect enough wins.

Early booking with Fleetway meant we had a booked cabin - none of that last minute allocation. Altogether have come back happy and refreshed.
