LaGare Hotel Murano Venice

Just returned from a short break at La Gare Hotel, as we are usually low budget travellers this was a luxurious and affordable treat! the hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the welcome and help we received throughout our stay exceeded our expectations.( At the airport my sister realised she had left her passport in the Hotel safe and the reception sent the Hotel shuttleboat to the airport with the passport which was so kind of them.) The breakfast was included in the price and had a large selection of healthy and sweet options - you could have had breakfast and lunch in the same sitting. The rooms were pristine,very tastefully decorated and the beds were really comfy. Murano is a pretty and quiet little spot but with easy access to everywhere. There is a vaporetto stop a few yards from the hotel and a Co-op supermarket.
It is worthwhile buying a 1, 2 or 3 day pass, we bought a 3 day for 40 Euros, well worth the money as we covered alot of ground whilst we were there. Apart from the magnificence of St. Mark's Square there are lots of other lovely places to visit like Burano.
There are several glass shops in Murano but I can recommend Mazzega Murano which is a treasure trove of amazing glassware, we bought some lovely gifts there. On a return visit to Venice I would always stay at La Gare and wouldn't hesitate to book another trip with Fleetway.
