Third week of April the island is quite quiet and restful, but additional attractions were opening for more trippers to arrive, probably day trippers, to climb to the volcano crater. The hotel is clean, spacious and there is an endearing element of Faulty Towers occasionally!! Don't let this put you off, it is a reason to smile. The island is small, covered in Spring flowers and welcoming. Not one to return to if active as it is so small but, for a week away from stresses, it is ideal. There are many lizards and very occasional snakes but, I understand that they are harmless - we saw two and they simply slithered away.
