Iceland - best ever experience!

My recent trip to Iceland has provided me with such lovely memories. I was lucky enough to see the Northern Lights, swim in hot water whilst surrounded by lava and snow, visit unique art galleries, watch fabulous short films about the country in the opera house, learn about volcanic activity, learn about the development of the country (I may even be related through our Viking history!!) and, I met lots of lovely people.

The standard and situation of the hotel we used was fabulous. Very central for walks around the city.

I stayed four nights and came home totally exhausted but in awe of all I had seen.

Places to eat were varied and numerous. I used a great veggie restaurant twice. Loved it. Not a cheap city but not the most expensive I've visited either. I didn't begrudge a penny anyway because it was all good value.

The weather was freezing one day (-9) yet sunny and relatively mild the next. All manageable with lots of thin layers of clothing, two pair of gloves and a half decent coat.
