Transfer arrangements went like clockwork although the journey from Schonefeld to the hotel was delayed by an accident on the way. Sofitel could not have been better situated,more or less directly on the Kurfurstendamm and very close to U Bahn and bus routes.Our room was on the 9th floor with good views and was huge.A slight minus was that we didn't seem to be able to adjust the aircon settings so it felt a bit colder than we would have liked.Breakfast was good- something or all tastes. There were plenty of restaurants nearby.We visited several Christmas markets,the best being at Gendarmenmarkt and close by the hotel at Breischeidsplatz.It was easy to visit the Brandenburg Gate,Reichstag,Checkpoint Charlie etc using the U Hahn-buy a day ticket.All in all,an extremely enjoyable break.
