“ fraud in advertising airliner policy”

Written on: 29/05/2014 by Breanna185 (1 review written)

Some airliners refuse to assign seats until check in when they learn you are an Expedia customer. However, Expedia's site states you have to call airlines to get a seat confirmed but never states you will be refused to get a seat confirmed. Expedia manager says it is the responsibility of the customer to call each & every airline BEFORE booking to get the airline's policy for Expedia's customers. However, Expedia knows what airliners refuse seat assignments, where they give left over seats at time of check in to Expedia customers. We booked a 14 hr. flight from Los Angeles to Nice, France (Lufthansa) & couldn't get a seat assigned.Expedia never discloses this information.Families are divided on plane, children sitting alone. Be aware that Expedia does not disclose all information. I suspect they do that on purpose, otherwise, who would chose those airlines & flights? Expedia is fraudulent because they knowingly withholds critical information. Their mangers are rude & totally useless, once the flight is booked.
Travelocity has apparently better relationships with their airline partners, where customers are valued. My experience, once the airline knows you are an Expedia customer, they REFUSE to talk to you. Beware!
