It's pretty simple:
1. You want to stay in a hotel somewhere.
2. You want to get the best price for the hotel you book.
3. You'd rather not spend the whole day scanning all the options manually as you've got more things to do.
I use etrip for both business and leisure travels as since I know it (a friend recommended it to me about a year ago) as there is no reason not to. You fill out your destination (country, city, neigbourhood/area or a specific hotel) and the other basic information and press search. Various filters, customer reviews, and sorting options help you to make the appropriate selection, much like on other booking websites. The part where the story takes a turn is at the price - here you get an overview of what booking, expedia, hotels, and many more websites you might have not even thought of charge you for your selection. Pick the cheapest one, everytime. It can actually matter a lot!
Same story goes for flights and car rentals. Works quickly, in all languages, and has a comfortable layout. So definately worth a bookmark :-).
