I purchased 3 rainbow vouchers 3 years ago, for just over $1000 AUD, when a rainbow voucher would get you a short 3 -4 day cruise ( so buying 3 of them you would think I would be entitled to at least a 1 week cruise). Once they changed from vouchers to cruise miles, my vouchers became worthless. They transferred into 172000 miles. Any cruise of around 7 days now is over 500000 miles. Hear hear. I bought Rainbow vouchers and agree that they have devalued to almost nothing. Also the range of cruise offers is very much depleted, they have deleted one of my booked cruises without ANY notification [but claim they sent an email- rubbish].I have emailed countless times asking for some form of compensation but no replies.I have another cruise booked for 6 weeks time and as yet have had no roll check, no booking number or cabin alotted.I have emailed countless times and had no re-assurance other than, It is alright,' in one brief email. No explanation as to why they have not sent information .I am so distrustful Ibooked and was holding a cabin with another agent for the same cruise, until that response [[alright'' when I cancelled 3 weeks ago, but since then have heard nothing. If only they would answer and tell me where I stand things would be a lot better.I am in limbo with expensive airfares booked across the world and back and maybe no-where to go when I arrive.
3 Years ago they were a reputable organisation but in the last 9 months have deteriorated.Customer service is non-existent.

I originally had a 9 day Canary Island cruise in a balcony cabin booked,for which I paid 265,000 cruisemiles.Unfortunately I had to cancel and the miles were refunded back to my account. Six months later,looking to book again,a similar cruise was now going for over 2 million miles!Nearly a tenfold increase.I emailed customer support and asked them why they had increased so much and could they please revalue my miles the same way they had obviously revalued the miles needed for a cruise.Got replies but they said nothing they could do.There must be loads of people in same situation with worthless miles.
The price to purchase miles has now also gone down dramatically so new customers are not so badly affected by the revaluation,but what about those of us who saw their miles become almost worthless...we have just been ignored.
I see from the forum that the company is going public next year and we will be able to buy shares.!!!

I booked a cruise with CM, checked in via the roll check in process, received a confirmation email from CM confirming my roll check in, then less than three weeks prior to cruise, CM deleted my booking stating that I did not check in. It is still happening Scrappymom. My friend exact scenario happen for a cruise we had booked in July , she completed roll call, got confirmation, thing next thing we know her miles are refunded and she was told it was because she didn't check in. Then I had it happen for a September cruise. How many times do they use this same lie?

Well..Four times but I got all different lies. Unfortunately while you are waiting over a year for your cruise to come, you decide to be proactive and buy more miles to book a cruise for the next years. Well...3 years later,( I started with 3 vouchers) and now I have had 4 cruises cancelled and I have worthless miles in my account.

These horror stories are real. There are many more out there..just check the moderated forum ...under cancelled cruises. Oh and if it says ticketed...don't believe it because I would be on my cruise this week if that were true.

As a longtime customer of cruisemiles I have seen the vast deterioration of service and value over the years. At first when the company was small it was a great way to cruise at HUGE discounts. But in the last 1.5 years the "Miles value" has deteriorated about 75% so it is difficult to find anything in your miles range if you can find anything at all. It is funny that when reading all the reviews one can see deterioration since late last year. We have been affected too. 1 confirmed cruise was fine but the 2nd confirmed cruise was also cancelled whithout letting us know about it. Since this week I have noticed they do not offer any more miles on the aution site. If there is no money comming from auctions anymore I am sure future confirmed cruises will also be affected as it has to be paid by the company. It is also obvious if you look at the roll call policy that payments and cruise confirmations are done only a few days prior to the cruise. They are also now busy building up a support group from their own members to respond to questions. I just hope the responses will be aimed at questions regarding future cruises and not the once in passed when everything was still okay.

I would just like to say what a wonderful company cruisemiles are.I paid over £1000 a while ago and purchases a NCL European cruise for 8/4/2013 and had miles left over.Unfortunately,I had to cancel and the miles were credited back.I paid 265,000 miles for a balcony cabin.Now,a NCL cruise on the site is going for 2,200,000.So I either have to buy loads more miles or go on a carribean cruise and pay about £800 each for airfares.I have been corresponding with Admin but they say there is nothing… Read Full Review

“Horrible customer srv”

These ppl have horrible customer service. They send me wrong cruise roll call; then emailed me to ignore it. I emailed them to get right roll call and got no response. After all never received my right roll call and after emailing them numerous times got email back saying " roll call is close". They never resolved issue even though they never send me the right roll call. Hi, read your posting only to realize that exactly same happened to me. I was suppose to sail on the 20th April this year, never received an email regarding roll check apart from the wrong one and subsequent cancellation on 29th of January.

I feel ripped off and quite determined to seek a legal help if its worth it at all. Maybe there are more people like ourselves. Do you have their phone number by any chance?

No, I don't think they have any official phone numbers. I have filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau in USA since Cruise Miles LLC is registered in Nevada. The case is still pending. Another customer has a laywer in Florida working on another case.

Same thing happened to me..wrong roll call check sent, never received anything else and today have realised I won't be going on my cruise next week. Madly trying to book for a replacement cruise seeing 4 weeks worth of travel and accommdation are in place. Of course I will be out of pocket. Did you have any luck contacting them?

Hi, I just found out today that the same thing happened to me, they sent the wrong cruise roll, I didn't know at the time and completed roll call for the wrong cruise then didn't get the correct roll call, never received an email and today 1 week before we fly to America from Australia I realise the mistake and now have no cruise to go on. My questions on their forum went on for a day and have now been removed. I can't get answers and it doesn't look like I will. Our 4 week holiday to USA is ruined. So upset with myself but more with them for not contacting me about ANYTHING! I still don't know what I can do about it or who to contact. Sue

Don't expect to get any response from your emails as there customer service is terrible, they don't care. As they are located in USA/ UK it is hard for us Australians to take any action against them. I am planning on taking action against there agents in Australia, the ones that sold me the vouchers, as they are selling a product that doesn't do what it says it will. At least that way l will have a chance of getting my money back on these worthless vouchers. I bought my vouchers about 18 months ago and at the time they would purchase a mini suite on a longer duration cruise, no they wouldn't even by an inside cabin on a Short cruise. A friend of mine suggested a last minute site, they have last minute cruises at very reasonable prices and you get what you pay for. I had another cruisemiles member contact me, with the same problem as you and he also suggested them as well .. Hopefully there might be something on there for you. Please let me know how you get on and if you would be interested in trying to get you money back on the Cruisemiles in Australia?

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. I realised last week that we weren't going to get anywhere with Cruismiles emails so went into damage control mode. Immediately found a replacement cruise and holiday is back on course, in fact, we fly out of Australia tomorrow. Of course we are out of pocket again but I am very thankful there was a cruise going around the same times and thank goodness I finally realised last week and not when we arrived in Miami that there were no tickets for us to pick up, that would have been a total disaster! That award is worth - nothing. The organisation is issuing hundred of awards every year. I.E. for the best dressed air hostesses and so on. Stupid.

Oh how times have changed.
Customer service is non-existent. Cruises are cancelled and no explanation, and no replies to countless emails..All the same
I fear that I have lost $3000 or more
I used to be able to purchase a cruise with 2500 CMs but now they are millions.
Also the range of offers has dwindled. The auctios used to have 78 cruise sto choose from .Now you cannot get more than about 10.

I know you dont feel the same now. I have seen some of your recent comments on forums and I agree with you. What has happened? The company grew too much too fast and supply couldnt meet demand.? When cruises were booked, was there actually cabins available or were they bought later, with other members money as needed? Now theres too many members wanting cabins that arent available, so excuses are made, cancellations begin, as does the speculations that come with NO customer service and answers to questions.

It seems you may be right. I have been trying to find a cruise ever since our last one but there are today only four on offer and they are next year, totally unavailable for us in Australia really as they are all out of the USA and require an unbelievable number of cruise miles for the cabins left. Were those other cabins ever available? I doubt it. I am now totally disillusioned and got no reply to my questions to customer service .

I first came across this company on eBay back in 2009 when they sold vouchers that you could exchange for cruises. Great idea, so I nervously invested in one and booked a transatlantic cruise from Miami to Rome for our honeymoon in April 2010. I"m afraid to say its NOT one big happy family.There are a lot of people who feel they have been ripped off,after buying cruisemiles and then seeing the prices recently increasing tenfold,making their miles almost worthless.As other reviewers on this site and other sites have said,customer service now is very poor and some people have been threatened with being blocked simply for trying to get their problems resolved.I personally am out of pocket by £1100.

I was not notified my September British Isles cruise was cancelled and emailed countless times to ask why it had ''Deleted'' in my account? No reply for months when I received one sentence- It was cancelled and everyone was notified and offered another cruise''
Not me.
The Forum had a note that some people must had been left out from notification., must have been me.
After many emails asking for an alternative or restitution I have had no response. I am awaiting Roll check on my other cruise 20th August and am very apprehensive as it is only 5 weeks away and no word. I really believe I shall be let down again and with non=-cancellable expensive airfares Sydney to London return I have almost 6 weeks to fill in in UK and all that extra expense.
