booked a holiday for my son and his friends when booking was complete found out Coop dont provide coach transfers you have to book them as extras this is not made clear in writing. I was most upset that on the page where the names of the travelers are input it only asked for fore and surnames then when all the paperwork is complete and printed of it informs you that the names must be as written in the passport, why is there no request for middle names at the appropriate point and avoid causing extra difficulty in attempting to rectify matters. Successfully booked holiday and paid deposit on-line, when balance of holiday became due I encountered a problem attempting to pay whilst outside the UK. Irritated, I eventually made contact with a guy who promptly arranged for someone to call me. Straight away someone did,I paid, problem solved. First time i have used a travel agents in years, usually go independently. Phoned main ofice as i could not find all info when trying to book online. Phil was extremely friendly & helpfull and answered all my queries. It was good to be treated as a " human being" and made sure i had the best price for our holiday to Morroco. Totally agree with your comments my partner and I have experienced the same thing, holiday price offered at one price, booking confirmation received, even sent my passenger details to the airline, then 5 days later received an email telling me, my holiday had been cancelled, or i could pay an extra £1330 for it to continue. distraught i phoned the number given to me on the email and spoke to a Jennifer who was unsympathetic and extremely unhelpful just saying we had to pay more or the deal was off and kept repeating they worked under ABTA guidelines. I looked up the ABTA guidelines, the guidelines state a company working under the guidelines should be obliged to maintain a high standard of service, fair terms of trading and accurate information, this was all rubbish as the co-operative travel had done non of this and the service was appalling. As stated in the previous comments are holiday that the co-operative said we had to pay more for, in order to keep, was still being advertised at the cheaper rate on there website even though they where asking us for more money 5days after receiving our confirmation. I really would not recommend the co-operative travel to anyone. Disgusting service and not interested in their customers at all.
