Having used Groupon before,we booked 3 nights in Marrakech from 05/02/2013. The hotel offered was Ryad Mogador Opera, 4*. The day of departure we were informed the hotel was fully booked, so we were to stay at Ryad Mogador, 3*. So we had no transfer documents until minutes before we left home and no details for our stay at the hotel. This is apparantly because they used the wrong email address!. On arrival we had not been warned of the tourist tax. The Ryad Mogador was not good, our room was in bad repair, the bathroom was gross and the whole building smelt of drains. We had been expecting 3 restaurants and 2 pools, spas, gym, etc. at the Ryad Mogador Opera, whereas our hotel had a tiny, cold, outside pool. Breakfast was just about ok but very basic. Our complaint is that we paid the same as the lucky people in Ryad Mogador Opera. Only one thing in our favour was the proximity to the Medina. On checking out, the card machine was broken so we had to walk along the road to get cash! Probably the worst accommodation we have ever had, we have never complained before. We are in total agreement with loustandford80 a previous review dated 06/02/2013. We will now be in touch with Groupon to tell them never to use ClearSky again.
