FINALLY CANCELLED RESERVATION. Booked return flights from Melbourne to LONDON. Just got off the phone (after 20 minutes) with one of the rudest customer service operators I have EVER encountered. On the front page of their website it states "FREE CANCELLATION WITHIN 12 HOURS' I booked the flight a mere 20 minutes before reading the reviews and changing my mind about this so called 'service'. So I immediately called the "toll free" phone number (I evidently will now have to watch my phone bill, because I highly doubt that it was a free international call) the operator was civil and polite at first. She then asked me the reason for cancelling, I replied, change of mind. She followed by putting me on hold for a few minutes then when returned stated that there would be a cancellation fee. I then politely informed her of the "12 HOUR cancelation" policy that was on the front page of their website. That is when the lies and manipulation started, she told me the 12 hour cancelation fee only applied to business class. (First of all, who would ever buy a business flight from a site called CHEAPFLIGHTNOW) Second, there was never any mention or even a sly 'Conditions apply' asterisk next to the 12 hour advertisement. After arguing with her for about 5 minutes, and also after I asked to speak to a manager (which she informed me that there was no manager there at the moment) she started to threaten that she had all my details and card details so she would have to charge the card. This made me FURIOUS (and I am calm person) I then preceded by threatening to take the company to consumer affairs and also using every means I could fathom to destroy their reputation and customer flow. What happened next? she put me on hold, AGAIN. Obviously to speak with the master manipulator who was holding all the puppet strings. Finally after two more minutes she came back to the phone, and said she is cancelling the reservation with no fees. I then asked for a reference number (she gave me the booking number, she thinks i'm an idiot) then asked for her name.  Ha. I now feel unsafe with my credit card and will now have to cancel it, because there is way in hell I would trust such a corrupt company to hold my credit card details. -end rant,

I have now booked through flight centre which cost only 100 dollars more. I'd pay ten times that for piece of mind :-)
