I have just been fooled into a charge of £50 for cancelling my booking at a hotel within less than 2 hours of the booking. There was no mention of this during the booking procedure and only appeared after I hit the BOOK button. I have tried to get a response from them all day today and I have heard nothing. Terrible customer service. I have over the years used them for dozens of bookings with the peace of mind that you dont pay until you stay and as long as you cancel(if need be) on the date they give you then no problem. BE WARNED they can catch you out with this latest hidden charge.
I have tried the hotel who will get the £50 and they have given me no explanation either. Thank goodness there are plenty other sites I will now rely upon for good customer service.
