“Do not use booking.com”

I have booked a hotel two month prior to departure, payed for it and one day before my departure booking.com advised me that the reservation has been cancelled to to overbooking(!!!). The initial hotel was offering me a new reservation, very far from city center(where the initial reservation was made). So, I had to decline. They said that there will be no problem with the reimbursement, but once I received the e-mail with the cancellation, no response has been received from booking.com at my countless e-mails where I was asking when the refund will be done.
In the meantime, I had to pay for a new hotel. I am hoping that, at some point in time, the hotel 'overbooked' for which I have payed very long time ago will refund me.

I was disappointed first that booking.com even allowed that a reservation paid could be cancelled, second, from the lack of response and third, and most important, that it did not do anything to ask the hotel to refund me.

I do not think this is something that you expect from such a big company!

Hi,
Thanks a lot for the reply.
The reservation number is 829926704. It was made and payed for on 13.10.2013 and cancelled on 29.12.2013 at Turca Hotel Apartments.

Hi,
Nobody has contacted me, not even to tell me weather they are working on the issue or not. A refund should not be taking more than 2 days(maximum banking transfer time).
Very disappointing service...

After almost one month, the situation is still the same. I have not been refunded and I am beginning to doubt that this is going to happen.
Very disappointed!
