We booked a room at a hotel in Napa and it ended up the hotel was sold out. Booking.com put us up a another hotel in the the area - which ended up being a 5 star hotel (330.00 per night) and we had booked a 2 star ($125.00 per night). They told us they would reimburse us the difference in price but they ended up paying for the entire room.
They handled this perfectly and I will continue to be a loyal customer to booking.com.
