“Problem with wanting phone number”

When one is in a foreign country and has decided not to buy and install a different sim card so that one's phone can function in the country, it becomes frustrating when the site won't let one progress without a phone number. I put down my number to progress to final booking, but if the hostel tries to call me it will have to leave a message which I will not receive until I return home to the United States at a later date.

It is important for us to receive every customer's phone number. It is generally the quickest and most efficient way for us to contact you. However, we will always send you an email if we cannot reach you by phone. The hotels would generally do the same.
