Booking.com gets my recommendation. It isn't perfect but it is reliable.
Not perfect:
- we have just booked an hotel in Istanbul and the photo of the suite we chose does not match the reality of the room (no sea-view, as shown in the picture).
- The hotel that we booked in Bangkok (Lebua at State Tower)wonderfully exceeded the description on the Booking.com website.
Very good:
- prices quoted on Booking.com for an hotel in the Netherlands were cheaper than the hotel could offer by booking direct. Is this always the case?
