I've used the booking.com before, trusted this website(didnt do any comparison with other website
Before though), friends decided to hit the snow field in thredbo, I volunteered to book the room for everyone,
Because I thought this website is trustworthy, and thought would satisfy my friends with some great deals
From the website, booked 2 rooms for 2 nights at the thredbo alpine hotel for $1000 while my girlfriend was watching,
We drove all the way to the hotel on the check in day, got there at 11pm, everyone was tired, and the hotel told us that
They didn't have our bookings, and told me to email the confirmation I got from the booking.com, and I sent it, the hotel
Informed that $1000 was only for one night( I wouldn't make this kind is mistake plus my girlfriend was watching me while
Booking it) everything got messed up, and the hotel staff told us that we have to pay an extra $920 (a set price no matter what day of the week) for the second day, which was even cheaper than the $1000 a day from booking.com, anyway, it was 12am by the time they sort out everything and checked us in, we only had 5 hours sleep after a long day driving here for the
first night, I felt sorry because I volunteered to do the hotel booking and guaranteed them a reasonable price, I ended up disappointing them because they had found a much cheaper deal at another hotel nearby and the long hour waiting for the check in because the booking.com didn't notify the hotel of our bookings. P.s the deal I got from the bookings.com didn't include breakfast but the cheaper one from the hotel had breakfast included for everyone.
I will not introduce this website to any of my friends anymore
