We booked a week long stay in June, 2012.We arrived at this resort after 10 pm, and the office was closed and there was no Manager on duty. We booked this through bookit.com hoping that what we were told and the description we were given, was what the resort made it out to be online. Our room was located right near the main street, which was very noisy and it was very windy, so the sliding door would wobble and make noise from the wind, making the room noisy so you could NOT sleep. We were told we would have Air Conditioning, which we were lied to, the room had a ceiling fan inside and the furniture and surroundings were dated back to the 1980's, making the whole ambiance a real TURN-OFF!
We called the number on our paperwork to speak with a Manager to tell them how unhappy we were and wanted to get a refund. I was not able to speak with a manager, instead, we spoke to some idiot who in no way was able to help us at this point. We decided to leave a note with the key, saying we would be back tomorrow to speak with a live person.
I went into the office to speak to the Manager, who from the beginning of the conversation had no Hospitality skills and after she heard our story, refused to give us a refund. She told me to call bookit.com. This was very frustrating and a complete waste of our precious time, so I called back bookit.com and the Manager of this resort refused to give us all our refund back. We were booked 8 days, she would only give us 5 days. WHAT A COMPLETE RIPOFF AND THE MANAGER TOOK NO RESPONSIBILTY FOR OUR NOT BEING HAPPY!!! THIS WAS IN Lahaina, Hawaii.
We had a great stay at the Westin Hotel, which included breakfast and beautiful surroundings.
