I used booking.com to book a romantic weekend away with my husband. We decided to extend our stay by another night and called the hotel to confirm availability for another night. The hotel had not got our booking from booking.com and were full up. They suggested we could use their sister hotel miles away from where we wanted to be.
As we only had two weeks to go until our stay we were absolutely devastated. The hotel did try to find us accommodation elsewhere but not to the same standard that we originally booked.
Had we not phoned to add another night on we would have turned for our original booking which was not booked!!!
I will never trust booking.com again
