This holiday was to Qwara, Malta in March. My daughter and I travelled over for my 65th birthday. Our flight left from Manchester on time. Coach was waiting to transfer us. Check in at Bella Vista hotel very smooth. (I had already stayed there before.) Before we left home got a call saying the outdoor pool was being re-furbished and did we want to change hotels. Our flight was delayed 2 hours on the way back, due to Air Traffic problems in France. All in all great holiday for a special birthday and cost LESS THAN £600 for BOTH of us. Can't understand why the star rateing from other reviews are so low!!!!!

It was only about 2 weeks ago I decided that I wanted to return to La Gomera for my well deserved "ME" time Christmas break. Having been to Gomera before, it was my wish that when I would return, I would stay @ The Parador in San Sebastian with multiple trips to Valle Gran Rey. Prior to finding Bookable Holidays on a google search (having not heard of the company before) I spoke with several travel agents some of whom are La Gomera Specialists, I was told that I had left it too late, most of the accommodations were fully booked and was left only with possibly 1 choice of accommodation: Jardin Tecina in Playa de Santiago. Intuition is my compass, my guide and when Bookable holidays number came up on the google search I immediately called them. the representative had never heard of La Gomera before, so we had a chat about the island, its surroundings, its beautiful culture and the reasons for my trip. I explained that it is not a 'normal' type booking as the it requires flying into Tenerife South and then a Ferry crossing fr to San Sebastian La Gomera and then transfer to the hotel. She told me to leave it with her. It took about 3 ½ days from the first point of call to the completion of the transaction, bearing in mind that the representative was off for one of the days and her return shift commenced at 1500hrs. The outcome: 'Think outside the box' is what she did and managed to get me booked into the two best hotels 1 in Valle Gran Rey and the other in San Sebastian. The next task was booking return flights that would be in sync with the Ferry Crossing times: there are only about 3 crossings per day. She was amazing, she looked at the options that would offer me ease and a stress free travel and indeed costs. When all the agreements were in place and payment was made I was told that I had to adhere to the Terms & Conditions of their contract. The following morning, I decided to read Bookable Holidays Terms & Conditions's and during that google search I came across some really negative reviews about the company and that indeed raised a red flag in my mind. Moreover; their website does not show any ATOL accreditation logo. It does have Feefo and that was the only source where I was able to read good reviews about Bookable Holidays. I trust my intuition and moreover, the duty of care and valued time that the representative gave me could not possibly be as the reviews stated. I spoke with the rep about the matter and I told her that I felt that the reviews were not only a dishonour to Bookable Holidays but to her and for me she is Bookable Holidays. I told her that I felt honoured to be served by her and that it was my first experience dealing with a travel company in the UK where I felt that I was being truly looked after and cared for and she has become my Travel Specialist for my future travel.

Had an email advertising a Grand Prix trip to Spain with flights and tickets and race entrance £299. Thought I would book as it was my birthday weekend. Just as I was asked my payment, I wanted the price confirmed And the operator said it was £799 each. Amazingly, she could not justify the difference just telling me, " sorry that is what the trip is coming out at". When I mentioned the advertised rate, she said it must be wrong. DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE. I have now unsubscribed.

we chose a package holiday with bookable holidays.com, and clicked to say we accept the price of the holiday, and they went ahead and took bank card details to pay in full for the holiday, and i thought that was it, i had booked and paid for the holiday, but an hour later we had a phone call saying that the holiday we booked and paid for was now almost double the price, so they asked us for more money to be taken out of our bank, we refused and are now going to a more reputable company.

Booked a holiday with Bookable Holidays.Com printed off the details with credit card payments.Priced at £469 for two people (BARGAIN) so I thought until their customer service called me back about the transfers and told me that the price I saw and booked was not the right price. It went up to £590.So It was cancelled .FALSE ADVERTISING.Will never be used again.

Never deal with bookableholidays booked through them my holidays as a package (flight, transfer and hotel) and was charged in full. However I got only flight from them provided and the rest as accommodation and transfer was never provided and I had to pay it on my own at the spot. When I came to the hotel at check in deck I was informed that my booking (which was fully paid to mentioned company) has been cancelled and when I tried to call to the company I was advised that company has been change trade name and my booking has been cancelled and I have to pay hotel again or I may cancel my holiday and they cant help me.It is a cheating since the website still working and they do sell holiday packages take the money from the customers and then just dont provided the services. Does someone have any idea where I should claim because I still hope to get my money paid to the back

Check with the hotel is yr booking paid since I got booking at the hotel but one week before my departure bookable holiday just cancelled my hotel. And actually when I called them and asked what happened they just said that the company went down on 17th of October and under administration now and later they send all legal documents to confirm that. But if you booked just recently hopefully you ll be fine. Anyway wish you a good holiday!

just SAW HE FOLLOWING ON A FRIENDS PROFILE: if anyone is casually scouting the internet for a cheap holiday, DO NOT book via bookable holidays.com!! Their website is still fully functional but they have gone into administration!! My mum and dad booked with them, they are due to fly out to Egypt tomorrow morning and they got a phone call this morning saying that their accommodation has not been paid for so therefore don't have a hotel, and are now down £400 which they may not be able to get back!! Corrupt idiots are still taking bookings knowing full well that people are just giving them money for nothing!!

We arrived at out hotel to be told our agent had cancelled our booking, so we slept outside all night till 11am (9am) uk, phoned them to be told they had gone into administration and there was nothing they could do! They cancelled our holiday and knew this before we left the uk but still let us travel! Disgusting treatment by them they had our money then cancelled out booking! They didn't care that we had no money no credit cards and no where to stay, it was tough! They said pay locally if you can't then sleep out on the streets until our flight home a wk later!

They have been in financial difficulties for a month,
Staff not paid, suppliers not paid
Did you get an ATOL certificate?
If your did the the CAA will help,
If not, the. Bookable broke the law and you should Sue the director.

Had no ATOL receipt but being told that the way they book some of there holidays they don't need to give one! Trying to work out who to contact for a claim

The same thing has happenend to my son and his friend . They only left the uk yesterday and on arrival at their all inclusive hotel were told their booking had been cancelled , when I rang bookable holidays I was told the same thing as you that they would have to pay for hotel themselves. Its disgusting that they are letting people still fly and then nowhere to stay on arrival . .

Myself and a friend booked a holiday with Bookable back in March 13. We had booked to go to Olu Deniz. 30 minutes after booking the holiday, my friend called up and gave an alternative email address to send all documents too as he had previously had his account hacked. He made it more than clear not to use this email address for anything as he had experienced problems. They confirmed this had been done while on the phone. 3 days before departure, we logged onto their website only to find out that our holiday had been cancelled. We called bookable and were told someone had emailed in from the account we asked them to remove requesting everything to be cancelled. Even though we'd made it MORE than clear to remove the email address immediately and we'd already paid the holiday in full. Bookable had two contact numbers for us, and didn't think to call once to check if it was correct. Bookable offered no alternative to this matter and said the flights are still active so we could pay for another hotel. Disgraceful! We have put in a complaint to Bookable and we are still yet to hear back. I advice everyone to NEVER book with this company.

We booked a 10 day stay at the maracan resort hotel ola Denise, which was classed as a 4*. in September 2013 we paid the full balance of £1500, we printed all confirmation at the time and everything seemed ok. Two months before we were due to fly they changed our flight times, this seems the norm, 2 weeks before we were going I printed off our holiday vouchers which stated out accomadation was at the maracan beach hotel (3*) and not the maracan resort, I phoned the admin manager who assured me and sent me a confirmation email to say we were defiantly staying at the maracan resort, needless to say when we turned up at the maracan resort at 1am we were told we were not booked in, they then proceeded to put me, my partner and 2 yr old daughter in a room that was, all I can describe as unfinished and told us to report to reception in the morning to discuss it with the hotel manager, which I did and we were told to leave the hotel within 15 mins, I spoke to the admin anager when I was at the reception and he told me a colleague would call me back, which they didn't!!..we spent the next 9 days of our holiday in a hotel I didn't book which had no facilities for my 2yr old, we were right in the middle of the nightlife and got no sleep, our holiday was a total nightmare, I am still waiting to hear regarding compensation, I am not going to let this matter go, I would advise anyone not to book with this firm!!!

I booked a holiday with my the credit card and paid the deposit at about 1 pm and everything went through. I waited till about 6:30 pm and did not receive a conformation. I contacted bookable holidays through there website to inform them of this which says someone will contact you within 15 minutes, 2 hours later I received a phone call in which they stated the price of the holiday had risen due to Ryan Air and the hotel increasing there prices. When I explained I was not happy about they referred me to the T&C's to which I replied that there T&C's were ambiguous, The woman informed me that the company were reviewing the website however my problem was not there problem. I am annoyed at bookable holidays as they don't make it clear at the point of payment that the prices could change. Airlines now have to tell you up front what you will pay why not holiday companies.

Arrived in hurghada via bookable holidays. Hotel said two out of our four rooms were not booked. No uk number for bookable out of hours. Denied problem was theirs as they outsourced room booking to another company. Great-stranded in Egypt with choice of no room or paying additional £1600. 24 hours later local agent sorted but terrible start to a short 7 day break. Avoid this company as it's worth paying a bit more for a reputable company who will take responsibility and sort things out for you.

Booking with Bookable Holidays was a mistake. The hotel voucher issued was no good on arrival in resort... agent went bust. Had to pay up front for room or sleep in the street. Getting a refund from Bookable was like getting blood out of a stone to be honest. Apparently I had to wait for the administrators.... actually they had to wait not me. I paid them so they had to refund me and wait themselves. No response to emails. Eventually said I was contacting ABTA and lo and behold a response saying a cheque would be with me within 7 days. Got cheque post dated til 2016! Company refused to cancel the cheque and issue another. I have to wait until they send me an envelope to return it for initialing. Asked if this envelope were special delivery incase cheque got lost but no response. Received a dozen emails refusing to give details of somebody I could speak to to get cheque cancelled. Credit card bill already paid so as not to incur charges. Glad I only paid one nights room and waited for a voucher and didn't pay in full upfront. Company policy on aftercare is appalling. Take their money and don't worry about anything else is their attitude.
Written on: 31/05/2014
This happened to us in 2009 - hotel closed after our arrival in resort. Absolutely no aftercare - ABTA did not help at all & we never ever got any money back.
I would recommend to anybody thinking of booking with bookable be aware if it goes wrong you are on your own & they do not communicate.

WE booked a holiday with BOOKABLE HOLIDAYS,the deposit was £650,we payed £1700 and we cancelled our holiday because we couldn't afford to pay the rest.I asked for my money back apart from the deposit, they emailed me saying what I payed was the deposit, which all of it wasn't because we have been paying weekly after the deposit.I ADVISE PEOPLE NOT TO TRUST BOOKABLE HOLIDAYS BECAUSE THEY ARE THEIVES.
Written on: 25/03/2014
The same happened to me,I won't book with bookable anymore,I agree with you THEY ARE THEIVES
Written on: 31/05/2014
Happened to us in 2009 - I am shocked that this company is still allowed to keep trading.
We learnt from this that ABTA is a worthless accreditation & do not help & that Consumer Direct whilst acknowledging that we were in the right & bookable were wrong wanted us to do the work & pay for our own solicitors.
With the authorities taking such laid back attitudes it is up to sites like this to warn people of the sharp practices & thieves that we pay our hard earned money to.

Bookable holidays.com arranged as part of telesales booking for travel transfers from Feurteventura in September 13. Sub contracted firm with two highly stressed reps had fifty people waiting for one and three quarter hours in car park. No coaches. Eventually agreed to pay for taxi but said you need to claim back when you get back through Bookable holidays.com. Got home and bookable tried and failed to contact coach firm and gave us £2 as compensation. £10 less than taxi fair. All smiles "have a great day" when booking but ran a mile when you had a problem. Can not accept any responsibility. Darren Sullivan Milton Keynes

The reason the star rating is so low is because they are nothing more than that and a company that went into administration a couple of years ago.
When you book a holiday with them, you are booking a holiday with another company( or so they say) and they are now just the middle man who uses a number of suppliers.
God help you if you book with this company that went into administration a few years ago now should anything go wrong ( as it did for myself and my wife) as you will be told that the holiday was not booked with them but instead with one of their suppliers. It will go on forever.
Look it up, google it, you will see that this company went into administration a couple of years ago
You have been warned
