PRIMARY COMPLAINTS
1. Customer service is horrible. Out of about 10 calls to customer service regarding my trip, only 2 were handled with less than 15 minutes hold time.

2. No collect-call number to dial if you are outside of the USA or Canada.

3. The technology did not work properly. My changed reservation was never reflected in my member page.

4. The agent that purchased my ground transfer did not provide any options. I am guessing he sold me the option that paid him the highest commission. Turned out that shared transportation cost more than a cab.

I WILL NEVER USE BOOKIT AGAIN!!!

Here is the whole story for those who want to read it.
Bookit started out well. Making my initial reservation using the web-site was straightforward, easy, and the price was good. I then changed my reservation, using an agent. Connected to an agent on the first call and the change was processed. Then the problems started.

The change was never reflected on my member page. I was unsure if I really had changed the reservation. I called the contact center and was on hold for at least 15 minutes, then hung-up. Tried at least 2 more times with the same results. Finally spoke with a an agent, who transferred my call to tech support. No answer. Repeat process. This time tech support answered and had to send me a PDF file with a the confirmation information. My member page NEVER reflected the changes.

Since my member page was never updated, I had to call the contact center to book local transportation. BIG MISTAKE. The agent did not prsent any options. Given that I paid US$324, I assumed that I had purchased individual tranportation. Turns out, when we arrive at Belize City airport, we were met by the transport company and told we would need to wait for 5 hours for other customers to arrive. Tried calling Bookit to clarify. Waited on hold for 15 minutes. My phone bill for trying to clarify this totaled US$127.00. Just as a reference, a cab from the airport to our destination would have cost about US$100 LESS for shared-tranportation from the airport. The only response I ever received from Bookit was that I did not purchase private transportation.


WILL NEVER USE BOOKIT AGAIN.
