...... it will be cheaper and you will avoid the hassle we had!

Went on a Hen Weekend to Blackpool where we were going to see the show Funny Girls. The weekend was booked through Awesome Weekends as we thought it would be hassle free. What a mistake! When the booking was made, we were sold a Hotel close to the venue and booth tickets to Funny Girls which included waitress service. We paid over the odds for the Hotel (which despite the name is a B&B), a complaint we made to Awesome Weekends when we found out where we were staying and how much rooms really cost. Incidentally, they dont normally tell you where you are staying until you have paid in full. You cant do nothing about it then without losing your money!

On the evening when we were about to leave for the show, we found out Awesome Weekends hadnt delivered the tickets to the Hotel. I phoned Awesome Weekends and eventually got booking reference. Despite having this, Funny Girls would not let us in until everyone was seated. Again phoned Awesome Weekends and spoke to an extremely rude rep whose response was 'what do you want me to do about it, I dont run Funny Girls!'. When we eventually got in (thanks to no help from the rep!) we had no waitress service on our booths, something we were initially sold on our booking.

After the weekend, I complained to Awesome Weekends about the rep, lack of tickets and the fact we paid for a service at Funny Girls we didnt get. I wanted a part refund on the Funny Girls tickets for the 18 Hens. After 3 weeks and having to chase them, the reponse to my complaint? The Rep should not have answered the phone after 5pm on a saturday (my initial call was 6:30pm) despite the website claiming you can call up to 10pm! This clearly means if you're weekend isnt going well, they dont want to know! The tickets WERE definitely at the hotel - no, I can assure you they werent! As for the booths, if the booking didnt say waitress service, you didnt have it despite the fact we were told ALL BOOTHS had waitress service! I had no reason to believe this was untrue and we had booths on our booking.

Anyway, as way of compensation, Awesome Weekends have offered me a free place on another weekend if I book through them for a minimum of 8 people! As if I would ever use them again!

Awesome weekends take complaints very seriously. The reviewer in this case has exaggerated her complaint. She used our company because she was unable to book a hotel that would accept a single sex party for 1 night on a busy weekend. We specialise in placing groups of this category and currently look after 45,000 clients per annum who book similar packages.

The group were allocated a hotel that is 800 yards from funny girls. I would suggest that this is good planning by Awesome Weekends. The hotel trades as a 'hotel' and has excellent standards throughout.

All members of this group were afforded ensuite rooms and full english breakfast.

After an internal investigation, I have found that the funny girls tickets were delivered correctly by my staff but were mislaid by the hotelier.

Despite this, we did in fact have a member of staff on call until 10pm on the night in question. We are the only company, operating in this market who offer this service to help our clients who may need assistance.

The reviewer, contacted our office and screamed down the phone about her missing funny girls tickets. Our member of staff, despite receiving threats and a host of expletives, was able to assist the group gain entry to funny girls by liasing with the venue, thus ensuring easy access.

The party did not help matters by turning up in small clusters instead of all together which Funny Girls insist on.

The point raised about waitress service being promised is incorrect and exaggerated.

To sum up, the group received all aspects of their weekend and a helpful member of staff, assisted them at 7pm at night to resolve an entry issue.

They received value for money and excellent administration throughout the booking process.

The writer of this review has learned that Awesome Weekends made a profit on this booking which I suggest has prompted this attempt at internet slander.

We are the most successful company in this sector and will continue to serve
our multiple clients in the best possible way at all times.

The pathetic response from Awesome Weekends proves what an unprofessional outfit they are, even going back on the contents of an email they sent to me. I never complained about the Hotel other than we paid over the odds (as we called direct to see what it should have cost!). As for being threatening, well I laughed my head off when I read that, but then the company is a joke! Enough said!
