I don't have the money to stay in posh hotels, and even chains like Holiday Inn are a bit beyond me, so if I need somewhere to stay in an expensive place like London, I need to do detailed research!
I recently visited my daughter, and found a hotel near her, and 5 different prices offered with 5 different agencies! alpharooms was the cheapest, (very reasonable for London), and so I went with them. Website was easy to use, booking very straightforward, and it all went very smoothly.
alpharooms would definitely be my first port of call in future.
